Grid connection and measurement/control equipment
New Regulations for Controllable Consumption Devices
1. My system can only be fully switched off. Am I now exempt from the § 14a ruling?
No. If your system has the option of being fully switched off, that is sufficient. It is not required that the power consumption of your system can be controlled in stages or steplessly.
You decide on your own responsibility whether you want to
- either make the best possible use of the grid-effective power granted to you at any given time by means of appropriately high-quality technical equipment for your controllable consumption device
- or use a roughly controlling system ("on/off") for the benefit of cost-effective control technology.
This decision is based on your own economic considerations, which must not adversely affect the overall effectiveness of the § 14a system.
